REACHING THE BIBLELESS

What is it like to not have the Word of God in your language? Many Bibleless people groups have never heard of the Name of Jesus. They don't know anything about the love of God. How can they possibly believe in one they have not heard of? Every Sunday, there are also churches holding services in a national language like French, English, Indonesian, or Spanish -- many of the people don't understand the national language at all. Some understand it a little, but fail to make sense of the service. This usually leads to syncretism. People need the Bible in their mother tongue.

There are still 1,216 languages without one verse of the Bible. We train new Bible translators in Bible translation principles that lead to evangelism, discipleship, mother tongue worship songs, children's and youth ministry, trauma healing, marriage and family ministry, relationship restoration, and addiction recovery. This ministry focus of Bible translation is called Scripture Engagement.

We conduct acceptability checks on current Bible translation programs to ensure that they will have maximum ministry impact. The best kind of Bible translation is one that is being used. Scripture Engagement ensures that Bible translations will accomplish their ministry impact among the Bibleless.
